I've been missing out on so much around here, it's hard to even call myself an LJer... Anyhow, via soldurios I learned that there were LJ elections to select a user to sit on the board and represent us all (you can read A's considerations here). Whooray, eh? And what's even better, the winner is legomymalfoy, whom I've personally never spoken to, but know to be an active fandom member - I've seen her around a lot in many different comms. Apparently, she suffered death threats during her time as a candidate. She wisely retreated for a breath, but returned and was elected.

I don't think that her new attributions will be easy to deal with, but let us hope that LJ really means something by this initiative of having a User Representative on the board. Maybe they're willing to try and lessen the bullshitting of users. *hopes*
