Shiny new post, so that I can poke people into noticing my shiny new layout with the first header I've ever completed (because I tried before but never liked it enough to go through with it...). It's not perfect but... I like it, I guess. It's all greenish & yellowish, colours for Brazil and my two favourite colours, incidentally. It features Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and lyrics to Speed of Sound by Coldplay, which doesn't really have much to do with anything but has been etched to my mind for days. I like quite a few of the sentences, so ;]

As for the rest of the layout, well, it's very Slytherinish green. I'm still having trouble positioning the content boxes and the f-page is something of a mess, but the colours are mostly settled. May I ask how do you like it?

On another note... I keep babbling about my newfound love for sw_slash. On the past few days I've gathered a few links to material (fanfics, graphics etc) that I love; now is time to share! I have also made a few icons ;] Updated Kaleidoscope today with 55 Keanu+Orli+Obi/Ani icons.

Summary: (made up too) Anakin confronts Obi-Wan's passiveness before life.

This one is somewhat depressing, in that.. *sighs* well, everyone's feelings seem to remain unrequited.

Becoming(Everything I Need)

Pairing: Obi/Ani
Summary: This is a 'how it all began' fic, set on an indeterminate ship in an unnamed portion of the galaxy some time between AotC and RotS. Obi Wan is angry with Anakin, and Anakin knows.

For this one, I'll just quote:

"I was thinking about how you, who are so adept at the science of emotions that you could probably read the mind of a rock, never know what I want, what I need, or what I'm thinking about. You try me, Master. I was thinking about what I could do to make you understand, and my question has been answered. Now I know."

And Anakin walked away.

That's not the end, mind you ;] it's a very cute, interesting ficlet.

Summary: He knows he should say no, but he doesn't. Yet, he doesn't say yes either. And he can't admit why.

This fic is breath-taking, not only because of the delicious smut but the sheer intensity of it. Ani and Obi have their own special ways to deal with emotion and affection, their interaction is special and intriguing and this author has captured that. I most definitely recommend this fic as one of the most beautiful Obi-Wan/Anakin pieces I have ever read. The style is magnificent, the characterisations are superb and the story is very touching.

This is a fic I really, really like. It's very sweet and shows the tenderness of obi-Wan, how he quietly cares for Ani. Anakin may live his emotions thoroughly but he tends to keep to himself what he thinks would make him seem weak - and it's positively heart-wrenching to see Obi's concern duel with his respect for Anakin's privacy. I'm deeply in love with this piece.

No summary was provided. This fic is slightly disturbing but I like it. I like how the author weaves Ewan's considerations in the plot, and how much it feels like living.

Anyway! Your header? It is fantastic. I love the green, of course, 'cause... well, green. Slytherin. Etc. Also, I've only seen half the movies (and none of them would be the recent ones :oP) but I must admit the guys are totally hot. Yes.

Annnnd your icons are awesome as always. I'd take some, but I'd feel weird 'cause I don't ship them. I mean, I would ship them, but it's hard to ship things when you haven't seen the things they're in. O.o It gets kinda ridiculous.

And since I'm one of the first five (or the first, hee!) does that mean I get icons? :D I'd say header, but I just did mine and I find I'm rather attached to it.

Your new layout is great! First of all EWAN! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Always a good thing. ;) And then green. One of my favourite colours. (Though I'm not exactly a Slytherin fan. But there was one of these meme-things once and I turned out to be a Slytherin. Does that count? *laughs*)

And your icons! Hee! The 2. is priceless. (And I loved that scene in the movie. :) I think I like #9 best, though I'm (still) not a Obi/Ani shipper at all. (But...you never know. And Sith happens, indeed. ;)

Yes, you're allowed to keep a header even if you aren't paid. You and I are in very similar situations, I also got a paid account as gift from a dear friend and I won't be keeping it after it expires, either. So when I planned the layout I made sure to check whether I'd be able to keep it after my paid time expired. I've switched to S1, I can link you to the tutorials, if you like. It's not complicated at all.

Oh, that would be lovely. I'm the complete "Nullchecker" (=German, "freehandedly" translated something like "zero-comprehender") when it comes to things like that, but I've mentioned that earlier, didn't I? ;) And I'm not really sure on which system I am at the moment, but I think it's maybe S2. Is S1 required to have a header? And now we're at it, is it possible to create your own background with non-paid accounts? Do you know?

Header. And that's easy. :) Either you take Eric, Orlando, Viggo, Sean, Ewan, Jamie Draven and several LotR, Snooker, whatever people and mix them up somehow, or I'd e-mail you a few of my favourite pics and you see what you can use. :)

Yep, non-love of SW. I used to like it a lot back in the days. Here I'll date myself and say that it was when the original Star Wars came out and I saw them in the cinema *grins* I had a mad crush on Darth Vader, and I thought that it would be interesting to see how Anakin turned into Vader. But I was sorely disappointed. I loathed Ep 1, and especially the annoying kid that was supposed to be Anakin. Then came Ep 2. I managed to sit through a whole 20 minutes of it before giving up. So... That person *points at Anakin* feels so very wrong to me. And I can't in any way believe him to become the Darth Vader that I once loved. Sorry. *sigh*

Perhaps it's different if one didn't love the original SW movies. I don't know.

It's cool though that there's slash potential in Ep 3. People seem to have fun. :-)

*snugs* I think she will, she's on vacation now though, but I'll give her the link when she's back :-) I think it's the fact that I lack the willingness to battle PS that makes me suck at doing anything but cropping with pictures. Also, I have such an old version of PS for my Mac, that it's just not funny. *g* I'm planning on taking it up though when I get a new computer sometime in the future.

I can't read icon 2, aside from 'teamwork' ... but, I have really bad eyesight, so I'm not sure how much that says. But I adore the first two icons anyway.
