I'm so behind on my f-list and answering comments, it's embarrassing.

Buuuut, I can't seem to stop writing VG fanfiction. I'm actually very happy because it's the most creative I've been in a long time, with Curt & Brian. :) They're just plain irresistible! (Yes, icons and a picspam are on the making)

Sweet. What a cute scene between the two lovers. And I love the mental image of Brian pouting in the water.

:) Thank you. Heh, making Brian pout is a hobby Curt and I share - he looks so pretty at it!

Lovely job! I love the characterization you put across in such a short amount of time; nice contrast between Brian's excitability and Curt's more world-weary (though still very much in love) demeanor. Ah, those were good times, good times.

And no, you should never stop writing VG fiction. Everyone should be writing it all the time. *stamps foot* ;)

*chuckles* there definitely should be more VG fanfiction. ...*sighs* I guess it's one of the inconveniences of coming to fandom 8 years late.

But, thank you!! It's always special for me when I hear I'm getting characterisation right, it's something I really value.

*sighs* Gawd I love those two and you paint them in such a beautiful way. It's like a little moment frozen in time forever of them together and uncomplicated or encumbered by the complications of Maxwell Demon and Jerry

Beautifully written honey

I'm becoming addicted to your wonderful fb ;) I feel so accomplished, a happy little moment is exactly what I was aiming for. There's so much angst waiting for these two, they need all the schmoop we can write up.

Heheheh fb addict. Must remember that

*sighs* Yes sadly angst is waiting for them. The more Curt and Brian smoochies the better IMO.

Ooooh gratuitous Ewan iconage. I can do that

Haven’t watched the movie, but I love this nevertheless. Such wonderful use of the English language, love. Some of my fav lines have to be these:

he had been through enough shit to know bliss when it entwined fingers with his and had to stand at the tip of it’s toes to steal a kiss.

Heartachingly beautiful line.

Brian bitched loudly at the ruin of his hairdo, his clothing, his make-up, and his honour,

LOL, nice to know a guy who sets the priorities right :).

"I can lap the salt off of you."

Oh, yesss, please. Wonderfully HOT line.

=DD Thanks, love, for reading this even without the appeal of the canon. *squishes* Not sure if you'd like VG; I find it totally brilliant, with all that 70's glam scene. Nothing to do with Ewan wiggling his willy about, really ;] Seriously now, if you get the chance, watch it.

*grins* oh it means so much to me that you mentioned that particular line! I built the fic off of it, actually. About how Curt would deal with having Brian in his life, and how he's ready to fall in love, even though he's been through hell.

*giggles* Brian is a perfect ponce, he's adorable.

Awwww! That was brilliant! I LOVE your Brian! He's so wonderfully prissy. :D And I love your Curt even more for being so...normal. - Even though that's almost an insult for him, isn't it? ;)

Curt’s eyes were weary, and he had been through enough shit to know bliss when it entwined fingers with his and had to stand at the tip of it’s toes to steal a kiss.

That line almost killed me and that one

Brian rolled his eyes, but the corner of his mouth twitched up. Ha, victory!

made me laugh out loud and probably scare my neighbours. I love this story.

I LOVE your Brian

I feel truly accomplished now, I do. *huge grin* And LOL, Curt'd probably be offended. But then he'd look sideways at Brian, shrug, smile at you and go "but yeah, I can see where you got that."

Brian: *raises eyebrow* I'll pretend I don't get what you're implying.

Curt: *huge grin* And what's that, doll?

Brian: *thinks, then waves a hand dismissively* You can keep your lousy normalcy though. I'm perfectly fine with special.

Curt: Special is just the word for you. *kisses the tip of his nose, then smirks* Besides poncy.

Brian: *sighs annoyedly* Just shut up and kiss me.

Curt: 'kay. *snogs him senseless*

*huggles you*

I'm glad to know that Curt's so understanding. Hee! ;D

And I definitely love it that he calls Brian "doll". *g*

*chuckles* I remember reading it in a fic and being a bit o.O at first, but then... well, it seems so cute, doesn't it? =] I bet Brian would perk up at it, the little vain thing. *pets him*

Icons and a pic spam! ::is terribly excited::

I have a confession to make. Velvet Goldmine is THE Todd Haynes film I've been trying to get my hands on FOREVER. It's just tragic I tell you. I'm staying away from your fiction until I've seen the film. (I can be odd in that principled way). But that doesn't mean that I'm not happy for you and your creative juices. Write, write, write!

omg, I've just checked Todd Haynes' filmography at IMDb, didn't know he had directed Far From Heaven - a truly brilliant film imo. But then again, he could've made nothing but Velvet Goldmine and I'd still love him for it. :)

I looked for a VG dvd to rent for bloody months, it was ridiculous. I've finally found it a few weeks ago and have been squeeing ever since. On occasion, images pop in my mind of Ewan McGregor stark nekkid or dressed as a satyr and winking; all in all, I can't complain. But I do approve of your scrupples *nods* Reading fanfic before the canon can be very influential. I'll look forward to your thoughts on my fics, though :)

Have you tried Amazon.com? I don't know about the shipping costs, but the VG dvd itself costs only US$10.90 (I've just ordered mine! *squee* Should be arriving here sometime around Oct 19th).

Exquisite writing, as usual! My two favorite lines:

"Curt’s eyes were weary, and he had been through enough shit to know bliss when it entwined fingers with his ..."

Fantabulous! Love how Curt has been thru the wringer, is world weary, and how therefore, the love he shares with Brian is something that heals him and feeds his soul.

and

"Shut up prissy fairy, the beach was your fucking idea."

That is laugh out loud funny. Wonderful stuff. You deserve a prize!

*huggles* The best prize that could possibly exist I'm getting right now: fabulous feedback like yours. ♥♥ Thank you, really, for the kind words. They're all the incentive I need to keep writing. :)

I'm so glad to hear you enjoy this! I like your perception of Curt, and of what he and Brian have together. And I'm especially flattered that you like the dialogue, it's something I have difficulty writing. Heh, I just love the idea of Curt good-naturedly putting an end to Brian's playful whining ;)
