Firstly, the famous batch of Brad Pitt icons I made, erm, three weeks ago? *blushes*

A small explanation is needed for these. It's not like I haven't worked with the man before - I'm very familiar with his talent. This time, however, I sought pictures taken for magazines, advertisements or photoshoots, so as not to deal with Pitt in-character but rather with what experient and skilled photographers can make of his beauty. Brad isn't the popular angel-faced; even though he is blond, baby-blue-eyed, pouty-lipped etc etc, there's a definitely manly quality in him. He is incredibly expressive and can incorporate sofistication like few others, it was a real delight staring at pictures of him until they screamed something. =]

Recently, there has been much posting of Peta Wilson pictures at lfn_fans. I've taken the oportunity and my liking for Peta to search the web for fine pitures of her - same as Brad, I preferred non-acting pictures. Here's the result...

Peta has a very peculiar beauty. She's almost masculine in many ways, and quite a few photographers seem to have noticed/enjoyed that; some of the poses they have her strike... Might be something to do with her voice too, she's a deep-voiced lady who exhaless bossy-ness. She started her carreer as a model but doesn't do bad at acting. She has a really picture-esque figure, especially for Vogue, Vanity Fair and other magazines of the kind. Au natural she is sometimes quite goofy, but when properly directed, she can be so beautiful. Here's hope these icons and the picspam I'm planning will add to the Peta-loving among my friends ;]

Yes, well, your icons may have tons of brushes on them, but they certainly don't look it! That's entirely the point. Having to search for the whole purpose of the icon seriously pisses me off. It's just not good icon making.

And since I do the bases myself more often than not, I pay extra attention to that

Hee, I do as well. It's been a very, very long time since I used someone else's bases to make an icon... it's been a very long time since I've actually made an icon that I liked enough to keep around for a while, and I made the base myself. My tastes for icons (which basically means my taste in men :oP) is rather... er, eclectic, so there aren't many bases of the ones I want. Miyavi, who's my current favourite man, for example, I've only just started seeing bases of him. And it feels slightly odd for me to just take someone's base and do all the stuff I normally do to my bases... it doesn't feel right for some reason.

Did that make any sense? O.o

Aww agreed. XD That's my philosophy on many of the people I find attractive and others do not. Well, either that or they haven't seen the right music video or movie.

Ahahaha, Michael freaked me out much of the time. I also felt (shallowly) that he wasn't attractive enough for Nikita. And he certainly wasn't animated enough to make up for that... there are a lot of people who aren't quite so pretty in the face, but their personalities just sparkle and you don't notice. Michael was not one of those people, dammit.

I don't mind them, but you're someone whose thoughts I really like knowing *smiles*

ooh, my thoughts exactly. Icons are 100x100 images that should betray their statement at one glance. They may reveal more on careful inspection, but they should be clear.

I think Michael is purrfect for Nikita, precisely because he isn't animated. She's too full of emotion and it's great to see her hitting her face time and again against the unfeeling wall that is Michael. It makes their bond all the more interesting, though it doesn't get any easier on her... and wheee, someone to exchange thoughts on LFN!

I do pretty much nothing but bases, so using other people's seems silly. On the whole, I don't much like using other people's icons, but sometimes they're just so damn good (or funny!) I can't help it. Yours are definitely one of the former. :D

Holy crap, that is an excellent point (see, told you my reasoning was shallow XD). He does tend to calm her down when she's bouncing off walls and keeps her from making too many mistakes during missions due to her hotheadedness. Man, you make me want to start watching the show all over again!

I like your bases. You don't (seem to) treat them to bright/contrast inventions and other rot, they're very pictoric. How do you feel about someone else using your bases? (...totally second intentions here)

I'd watch the show all over again, except.. I'm at uni at the time it's on TV. Damn. =p they're selling the seasons on DVD, though (or so I've heard at lfn_fans), so... but I'm not sure I like them enough to buy them.

YOU wouldn't have to ask, only just let me see and drool over them when you were done with 'em. :oP You ever see any of my bases you like, feel free! I'm actually planning to make a huuuuge base post in my icon comm pretty soon, and although most will probably be of jrockers (I'm fangirling over them like crazy lately, it's so sad) that certainly won't be all.

Oooh, are they really? Like you, I'm not sure I like it enough to buy it either. I don't think they even play it on TV here anymore, unless it's WAY late at night--come to think of it, it was on way late at night when I first started watching it in the first place. O.o Something tells me I should check my TV schedules!
