Hello =]
What have I been up to, lately? Gym, diet, uni work and reading like crazy. My eyes even hurt. I've been busy with many things, but managed to find the time to delight myself with The Plays of Oscar Wilde. I adore the man's writing, the way he words sentences, the characters he creates. I've read The Importance of Being Earnest, A woman of no importance and am halfway through Lady Windermere's fan. I find it fascinating how he inevitably weaves in the plot a character who can speak as eloquently as Wilde himself writes, and who shares his peculiar wit.
Other than that, I've just stopped by to say hello, hug you all and post five Louis, Lestat and Louie/Stat icons:
(25/out/07)EDIT: because I no longer trust LJ with my material, I've moved the five Vampire Chronicles icons.
There are certainly more to come, I've laid my hands on some fine picutres... I can't wait to see what you'll make of them,
phantomparadise! *beams*
I also wish to pass on an admirable iniciative I've seen at
sm_malfoy's journal:
Have You Left Your Comment Today?
anaid_rabbit and
wide_ocean decided to start a movement to leave more comments and thus brighten up more peoples' lives. Think about how nice it would be if everyone would pledge to leave at least one comment a day that they otherwise wouldn't have left - maybe on a post where they were afraid to say something, or just something nice on a completely random journal.
In short: Take the pledge with us. Leave at least one additional comment on someone's LJ each day, and make the world a better place. Spread the love!
And make sure to post this last bit on your own journal, so that the love may indeed spread.
I love the idea; it's so wonderful coming home to an inbox full of tenderness and warmth.
*huggles lots*

I'd say Stat is the resident delinquent vampire. Honestly, the man is insane.
Yeah, Cruise did capture the spirit of Lestat for IwtV. Maybe even if he were to interpret Lestat in some other movie. But book!Lestat will forever be different than Cruise to me.
Oh, Banderas makes a completely different Armand. Armand is supposed to be bitchy when he wants to, he's bitter and he's lost in the world. Not to mention he's supposed to have auburn curls. *grumbles* But I liked movie!Armand nonetheless.
No, no, I just can't picture Lestat in leather pants. That's...That's utterly weird. I can picture him trying it on, curling his lips in disgust, and then throwing the pants in a corner. It doesn't strike me as Lestat-ish. Although from all the vampires, I think he's the likeliest one of the old brood to be seen in leather pants. *giggles at the thought of Leather-Pants!Marius*

LOL! Stat to me is the resident Impossible vampire. As Gabrielle keeps telling him, he's impossible. He can't be dealt with. All the more fun for us, and more whining for Louis. Not that he'd have any different ;]

Oh, me too. I mean, I like the Armand character they created for the movie. But almost I wish they'd named him something other than Armand...

*laughs* And coming out of the trying-room in underpants and shirt only, claiming that if something is to hug his skin that tightly and mark his outlines as sharply, he might as well enjoy the cool night air on his legs and give everyone a view XD
Meanwhile, all the other vamps growl in exasperation & embarrassment. I fancy Louis would even blush, Marius would hide a smile and Armand would go positively berserk. "You can't even buy clothing without making a scene!"
from all the vampires, I think he's the likeliest one of the old brood to be seen in leather pants. *giggles at the thought of Leather-Pants!Marius*
*chuckles* oh, definitely. And I can also see Stat trying to inflict the leather pants on everyone, much to their misery.

Ahhh, that is because you haven't read the other books! A vampire that goes along with an extra-feminist mass murdered, a body exange with a mortal, and goes off treading into heaven and hell is definitely Delinquent to me. *laughs*
OOOOH! and I forgot you haven't met David properly yet!! (Only crappy movie!David that has nothing to do with book!David).
(And I just noticed your layout is positively improper to show in a public computer. *laughs*)
I'll answer more to this comment later, ok? Must go now.

XDDDD do you really think so? I haven't acessed LJ in college yet... hmm, will take care. Pity that, though. If people weren't so tied up, life would be much more entertaining.
