some of you have met me online tonight *squishes lilith_lilium* On the 26th I went down to Florianópolis to spend the week and the New Year's Eve. It was... brilliant. The place is breath-taking, marvellous beaches, incredible food. The hotel was very very good and I made great friends there; hope I'll be keeping them! I'll post later with pictures... on the morning of January 2nd, we drove to Curitiba to stay at my uncle's - plenty of rest and LOTS of food. I had a great time. I'll post tomorrow maybe with pictures... should be leaving on Saturday, early morning, to the beach again.

To kill the time today while I waited for my internet conection to be arsed to work, I've made a few LotR icons. The ones featuring Miranda were made out of these bases by justinetre; thanks, sweetie! I hope you like the makeup I've given your babies!!! The Éomer, Legolas and Orli ones were born out of RotK EE & extras caps by my dear perseph2hades.

I'm almost sorry that I posted the prologue of Alabaster-Carved Galatea at lucifersdragon, and that's because, as much as I love that story and my ongoing Green Mirrors, I haven't written a single word since Christmas and I don't think I will, at least until after Carnival or so. Which is in February. I'm sorry. ...well, although, I've had an injection of wounded pride lately, so maybe I will write after all. *shrugs*

I'd like to take this moment to thank everyone who replied to my last post *huggles* I read your comments on the 27th and you have no idea how much they improved my trip, and helped me relax and enjoy myself without feeling so guilty. You're all precious and I know I've been posting and posting and neglecting comments, and I'm sorry. Tomorrow is catching-up, as I promised sm_malfoy. If you've got anything you want my opinion on, leave a poking comment!!!! =D

it's been raining a lot here lately as well - horrible for summer vacations. I've been to the movies a lot, to make up for it.

You lucky girl. There was a while there when I was going to a lot of movies too (even mediocre ones) but then a semi-drought arrived. Waiting for the Oscar flicks to get here.

It's just that I've watched Closer last week and, together with a friend, I've written a review of it. I'm dying to know your thoughts on the film...

I saw the review and exercised a lot of self-control by not clicking on it because . . . I haven’t seen the film yet! In fact, I’m really worried that it won’t even make it to my shores. :-( But, I have saved the link and when I get the opportunity to watch it I’ll be sure to read your review. I can’t contribute to any significant discussion now, I’m afraid. ::sniff, sniff::

Now, now, we've had a loooong conversation about feeling pressured to write. *sighs* I guess it's useful not to let yourself drown in sloth, but don't be so hard on yourself.

Why doesn't it count? *curious* I have never written a proper LotR fic. I've got a whole notebook - no kidding - of sketches of a Faraboro fic that I was going to gift a friend for Christmas in 2002. *ashamed* I just never sat down and did it.

*hugs* Sorry to have poked. I hope it does get there, because it's such a greal film. If it doesn't get to theatres, I'm sure it'll find your way into your DVD ;) either way, let me know when you watch it! I'll be waiting eagerly for your thoughts!
